There are two forms of ghostwriting; as told to and no credit. Both are different in pricing. As told to: this is slightly less expensive, as the ghostwriter's name is also on the cover with the "author's," and the ghostwriter is entitled to royalties according to arrangements with the publisher. No credit: As there is no credit whatsoever given to the ghostwriter (other than a possible referral for future projects) this form of ghostwriting is more costly. However, the "author" retains total credit for the piece as well as all royalties. With both forms, I have a set fee on a per word and per hour basis, depending on the scope of each project. If the project entails a lot of my time on research before I can begin writing, I charge per hour for the research and per word for the writing. My rates are as follows:
